Scott Pruett won the pole for Sunday’s Telcel-Motorola 200, the third race south of the border in NASCAR’s Busch Series.

Pruett averaged 103.647 mph on his fastest lap Saturday in the No. 41 Dodge on the curvy, 2.518-mile course. Just behind him was Mexico City native Carlos Contreras, who finished at 103.407 mph in the No. 22 Dodge.

Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya, who jumped from Formula One to NASCAR last season, finished third at 103.391 mph in his No. 42 Dodge.
