Bowyer wins fifth career Busch race

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -Clint Bowyer won the race off pit road with about 28 laps to go Friday night and easily went on to his fifth career NASCAR Busch Series victory.

NASCAR downplays HANS device cracks

NASCAR is downplaying the cracks found in Kyle Busch and Casey Mears’ HANS devices after wrecks at Talladega Superspeedway.

Busch’s head-and-neck restraint was cracked in a spectacular crash Saturday, and NASCAR officials inspected the HANS before sending it back to the manufacturer for a review.

Then came word Friday that Casey Mears’ device also cracked when he hit the wall hard on Sunday.

Santos to make Busch Series debut

Franklin native Bobby Santos qualified seventh today for tonight’s NASCAR Busch Series race at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway.

Tune in to ESPN2 and watch and see if this 22-year-old Bill Davis Racing development driver can get his first victory in the Busch Series.
