Bill France Jr’s death put the negotiations on hold.

Earnhardt said Friday there was no update about what teams NASCAR’s biggest free agent visited this week. With the rain-postponed race held on Monday, then a trip to Florida to attend France’s funeral on Thursday, the short week left little time for Earnhardt to get involved.
