NASCARNASCAR driver free after weekend in jail on drug charges
Posted by on July 10th, 2007NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Aaron Fike and his fiancee were released Tuesday after spending the weekend in jail on drug charges, Fike’s attorney said.
Fike and Cassandra Davidson, both of Cornelius, N.C., were arrested Saturday in the parking lot of Kings Island amusement park north of Cincinnati after security officers observed suspicious activity in Fike’s sport utility vehicle and found syringes and a brown substance believed to be heroin, police said.

Posted by on July 10th, 2007NASCAR has determined the springs it confiscated from the No. 5 Busch Series Chevrolet of Kyle Busch after last Saturday’s race at Daytona International Speedway are legal.
NASCAR spokeswoman Tracey Judd said Monday the front springs taken from the car Busch drove in the Winn Dixie 250 for being “slightly under” the minimum allowed by rule were remeasured at the research and development center in Concord, N.C., and found to be within the allowable tolerance.
