Harvick wins Busch race, but Robby Gordon defies NASCAR orders, insists he was winner
Marcos Ambrose knew a furious Robby Gordon was going to run him down late in Saturday’s inaugural Canadian NASCAR race and the Australian wasn’t about to yield his lead willingly.
What followed was costly for both drivers.
Despite being shown a black flag after he refused to move from second position back to 13th as ordered by race officials, Gordon continued racing with revenge on his mind and Ambrose in his sights directly in front of him.

Gordon took the lead from Marcos Ambrose after a restart with four laps to go, but Ambrose quickly reclaimed it by bumping Gordon out of his way.

NASCARMichael McDowell passed leader Jeremy Clements with about a half-mile left to win a thrilling, crash-marred 200-mile ARCA race at Pocono Raceway on Saturday.
Clements tried to stretch his fuel and drive the final 54 laps without a pit stop, taking advantage of a massive pileup in the second half of the race and several other late cautions. But he ran out of fuel with the finish line in sight and McDowell sped past.
NASCARTony Stewart’s feud with ESPN appears to be one-sided.
An ESPN motorsports producer said on Saturday that the network has no beef with the former Nextel Cup champion and has little concern about Stewart recently voicing displeasure with some of its analysts.
“I love Tony Stewart and Tony Stewart has called out everybody in this room at one time or another,” ESPN producer Neil Goldberg said at Pocono Raceway. “Tony is great for the sport.
NASCARKurt Busch should be the driver that everyone outside the top 12 is pursuing for the final spot in the Chase.
Instead, the former Nextel Cup champion is the one lagging behind.
When Busch was docked 100 points for reckless driving in early June at Dover, the penalty plummeted him six spots and out of a place for the 12-car, 10-race Chase for the Nextel Cup championship.
Those points could now deny him a chance to race for the title.
