Former Champ car star Patrick Carpentier is a candidate to fill the No. 10 Dodge at Gillett Evernham next season, but co-owner Alex Gillett said the team is looking at several drivers.

Gordon records 12th career plate win

Jeff Gordon surged into the lead on the final lap at Talladega Superspeedway then held off teammate Jimmie Johnson to win Sunday and become the career victory leader at restrictor-plate tracks.

Gordon, who scored his 12th victory on a plate track, used the win to move back on top of the points standings with six races remaining in the Chase for the championship. He leads Johnson by nine points.
